Ursula Owusu-Ekuful jabs Mahama over ‘papa no’

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has joined the army, tagging former-President John Dramani Mahama as “Papa no”.

“Papa no” is a hit song by Barima Sidney , which was released after Tracey Boakye came out boldly with several videos raining insults on her “rival” Mzbel, alleging that they are sharing the same Sugar Daddy.

Tracey Boakye in trying to exhibit opulent gotten not from hard work but from dating another woman’s husband, whose name was never mentioned, is believed to have influenced the “Papa no” single released by Sidney.

“Papa no” simply means a certain man in one of the Ghanaian dialects, Akan. However, some individuals are pointing at ex-President Mahama to be the unknown figure or the mystery man in the centre of the controversy or the sugar daddy whom the two ladies are fighting over.   

Although the identity of the man still remains undisclosed, some Ghanaians still wondering he could be. the Ablekuma West MP has untied the nod and blew the cover of the mystery man.

in settling the controversy, she pointed figures at Mr Mahama the “papa no”.

She made this disclosure while launching her campaign for re-election on Monday at Dansoman in Accra.

Mrs Owusu-Ekuful also condemned the former president, the flagbearer of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), for referring to the people of Akyem as “Sakawa” [fraudsters].

It was her expectation that “Papa no” would desist from tribal politics and focus on selling his message to the Ghanaian populace.

The MP who also doubles as the Communications Minister warned the campaign team against complacency, and pleaded with them to do door-to-door campaign in order to ensure the message is disseminated to the grassroots.

The campaign team was sworn in by Emmanuel Klottey with the Presidency while Lord Nii Oblitey Commey, Director of Operation also at the Presidency and Deputy Campaign Director charged the campaign team members to spread the love of the party.

He urged the party members to be proud of themselves for voting into power a government that has enabled students and pupils from all backgrounds to benefit from an equal opportunity of free education and hot meals.
