The Head of Teiko Tsuru We, Nii Tackie Daniel has given a clarification that it is not right for any member of the clan to ascend the throne when it is not yet their turn.

He said the clan, which is one of the ruling gates of the Ga paramountcy will only take its turn after Abola Paim.

Speaking at a press conference held by the Royals of the Four Ruling Gate of the Ga State in Accra last week, he said any entity or personality eyeing the Stool from their gate is only doing that to cause confusion.

This, Nii Tackie admonished one Kelvin Tackie who is a member of the clan and ascribing to himself the Paramount Chief of the Ga State, to respect the Gas’ tradition and advise himself accordingly.

According to him, traditions are meant to be respected and maintained, therefore, it doesn’t lie with anyone claiming to be a good citizen to do otherwise.

The Ga Stool Dasetse, Nii Yaote Oto-Ga on his part decried certain developments in Accra, which he believes are not in the interest of the Ga State.

Among these developments are the alleged sale of the Rawlings Park to private developer and political interference of the Ga Chieftaincy matters.

It was his prayer that people respected the landlords of Accra, especially the Stool by not acting in contravention of the Ga customs.

Heads of the other of the ruling gates -Abola Piam, Teiko Tsuru We, Amugi We and Tackie Commey We – all took their turns to condemn the happenings in Accra that they are not pleased with, including chieftaincy issues.

Together, they warned faceless politicians to leave Ga Chieftaincy matters alone to Gas to settle.

  1. They have boldly spoken the truth for the Akan dominated Akufo-Addo NPP government to stop arrogating to itself the right to determine who the Ga Mantse should be. Nii Tackie Adama Latse II was Ga Mantse 5 years before Akufo-Addo became President with Lord Commey as his Operations Manager and Ishmael Ashitey as Greater Accra Regional Minister and he’ll broke loose! Where is Ishmael Ashitey now?
