Stonebwoy dictum on Kaaka murder calms angry nerves
The gruesome murder of “Fixthecountry” activist Ibrahim Mohammed @ Kaaka has got dancehall artist Stonebwoy talking and advising the youth on the matter.
Born Livingstone Etse Satekla but known in the entertainment industry as Stonebwoy shared opinions on the matter and same were received with missed feeling by the public.
Stonebwoy in three different posts on social media and one of which that have received over 1,400 likes, said “Kaaka didn’t have to die. He was only advocating the improvement of the lives of his fellow citizens including the very people that killed him. He was killed because he refused to be a spectator. His brethren in Ejura didn’t have to be attacked.”
Another post of Stonebwoy also reads “they were only venting their frustration. Yet the men and women who have sworn an oath to protect us and serve us with integrity attacked them. We need justice for Kaaka. We need to hold the police and military responsible for the loss of lives in Ejura.”
This message earned Stonebwoy 1,400 likes and comments such as “now you have confirmed to the general public that you are the international Dancehall King of Africa. You’ve proven beyond doubt that you have our motherland at heart. Thank you Stone, you’ve given back to community.”
Stonebwoy’s last comment on Kaaka’s alleged murder and the one that have received the highest likes of 1,700 and 85 comments, says “Since the system keeps frustrating us the citizens. Well will have no option than to go outside. We only to air our voices seeking attention to the problems we face as citizens. Anything contrary to that is not our intent.”
While majority of his followers were showering praises on him for coming out boldly to condemn the killing of Kaaka and the security brutalities on citizens, some find his comments too late in coming.
