Koshie, a name given to an angry registrant at Gbegbeses in the Ablekuma West Constituency of the Greater Accra, who believe the Electoral Commission officers appointed to the area are deploying mafia tactic to register persons whom they claim are on protocol list.

According to this resident, she reported to the registration centre at dawn, 3:00am, where there just a hand full of people yet it past 12 noon and she was nowhere closed to be registered.

She pointed figures at some persons whom she did not meet at the centre but were registered and issued with their cards.

Koshie challenge was that some people continuously walk in and are not made to join queue and yet they are registered, while the rest of them are being denied that opportunity as citizens with equal rights.

Although yesterday marked the start of the voter registration process, very encouraging number of made it to the centre to be registered, but social distancing was a major concern coupled with some people removing their mask when talk.

However, effort to reach the Commission officers on ground to response on the matter was futile, as they claimed their boss was not around.
