The Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Afful Boakye Yiadom has urged personnel to eat well and reduce the number of sex rounds in every session to avoid undue fatigue as they prepare for the December 7 Elections.

“We all need energy to work during the elections. I, therefore, advise all of you to eat well, reduce your sexual rounds [in order] for you to get energy to work well before, during and after the elections,” he urged.

He said this after the personnel had embarked “Confidence March” as part of effort towards the upcoming election.

DCOP Yiadom urged the personnel against what he described as “loose talk”, stressing that they are not politicians nor public servants, hence they avoid open politics.

He referred the personnel to Police Service Regulation 2012, Regulation 82(1), which spell out major punishment for any personnel who involve themselves in political controversies.

“You all know the nature of the major offence. So always be guided by that section and control yourselves,” he stressed.

The police personnel marched from Ako Adjei Interchange, 37 Military Hospital, Obasanjo Highway, Kawkudi Roundabout, Accra Girls Senior School, Pig Farm, Kotobabi, Accra new Town, Nima, Kwame Nkrumah interchange, Kojo Thompson Road and Liberation Road.

They ended the march by going through the Castle Junction, La Teshie Road, Danquah Circle then to the Police Headquarters.
