OWASS contests Bekwai Parliamentary primaries
Henry Opoku Ware also known as OWASS has picked forms to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bekwai parliamentary primaries.
It had been his long standing desire to represent the people of Asante Bekwai in Parliament and this two steps away for the realisation of this dream.
In pursuit of that, the businessman picked the forms at the ruling NPP Bekwai constituency office, the very first day that nomination was opened.
Speaking to the media after picking the forms on Thursday, December 23, 2023, pOWASS said he was motivated to contest for the seat, due to the burning desire to serve the people by lobbying extensively for development.
He promised that when given the nod to represent the party in the incoming general elections, the grassroots will be rejuvenated while the developmental agenda would be about education, road infrastructure and improved quality health care for the people.
According to him, he will ensured that the decentralization policies and it’s principles are felt by the people
Similarly, he is committed to the course of the party with resources.
It was his view that, his desire to serve the people in Parliament was to help address some of the pressing developmental challenges that had bedeviled the constituency over the years.
OWASS reiterated that most communities in the constituency are affiliated with deplorable roads and dilapidated classrooms.
He is determined to improve, particularly the road network within the constituency, saying “because when the roads infrastructure is good, it improve the standard of living of the people to do businesses.”
OWASS has had the opportunity to tour the constituency with the incumbent Member of parliament for area, Joseph Osei-Wusu also known as Joe- Wise.
The outgoing Member of Parliament and 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament, during the 2020 election campaign toured the constituency with this parliamentary hopeful.
The familiarisation tour and challenges that were enumeration had stacked with OWASS ever since and wanted to be given the opportunity to represent the party to champion this course.
