Man standing trial for wearing military uniform

The Accra Circuit Court ‘2’ presided over by Rosemary Baah Torsu is trying a man for wearing military after being sacked from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

Chief Inspector Amoah Richard, Prosecuting Officer, told court yesterday that the accused person was reported to the police by Colonel G. E. Adu for wearing the said uniform.

The court was told that the accused person was expelled from the Army after having been absent from work without excuse duty, somewhere in 2013 and also failed to submit the said uniform.

The accused pleaded guilty to the charge of possession of military uniform and was admitted bail in the sum GH¢80,000 with one surety.

The accused was equally ordered by the court to deposit his passport or traveling documents with the court registry till the end of the trial.

The case has been adjourned to May 24, 2022.
