Dr Opoku Ware Amopomah has been appointed new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

This was announced by the Board of Directors of the primer hospital in a media release.

The new CEO, per the announcement appointment takes effect from October 5, 2020 and he is expected to among other things to bring his several years of experience as a clinician and manger in the health sector to play.

Dr Ampomah brings on board his nine years as the Director of National Reconstruction Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

“We believe he will strategic and operational knowledge to bear on the progress and development of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital,” the statement said.

In the release signed by the Acting Board Chairman, Jerry Ahmed Shaib (Esq) entreated all staff, clients and stakeholders to cooperate the New CEO to enable the Hospital to continue to be the leading major health facility in the country.
