This year transport fares have gone up twice, thus within a period of five months, raising economic concerns among commuters.

Economic hardship driven by skyrocketing transport fares in Ghana is unimaginable, as it affects commodities price and the cost of living standards.

The transport unions have increased fares by twenty percent (20%), making fares rising by 35% accumulatively in the first quarter and begining of second quarter the year.
