Kaasah Cultural Troupe bags award @ festival
The kaasah Cultural Troupe has been honoured at the just ended Greater Accra Regional Dance and Music festival organised by the Center for National Culture.
The Troupe, which is based in the Northern region, but well known in communities including Wongo Korlugo and Solma Siyaaga participated in the festival that was held in the Ga South Municiple Assembly Ngleshie Amanfro in the Greater Accra region.
The Troupe were recognised for their energetic and skillful dance performances, which were mainly of Northern Ghana origin.
The organisers were impressed by how the Troupe were able to carry the audience along their performance to even yearned for more.
Leader of the Troupe Charles Woriyiya told the Ghanalynk.com entertainment that they are working hard to promote Ghana’s image through cultural music and dancing.
He said the thing about cultural is that it is what identifies or gives one his or her identity, particularly where they come from and who they are.
The leader said this was not the first the group had been recognised and honoured for their extraordinary performance and hopes many of these credits would further energise them to do better.
