The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has send a strong signal to opponents that she has worked so hard for the constituents to use that as the basis to vote for her come December 7.

“The good people of Ablekuman West will return me to Parliament as their MP because they know that we seek power to serve not to lord it over them and we are always with them. We know what their needs and issues are. If you look at the amount of work we have done this three and a half years, 25kilometres of asphalts and still counting,” she proudly said.

Candidate Mrs Owusu-Ekuful says she has travelled the journey too far to let some else claim everything she has worked so hard for, in the constituency over the past years.

The evidence of her hard work can be tracked in the number of scholarships awarded to tertiary school students as well as basic school pupils, soft loans to cushion small businesses, infrastructure development and securing of assembly autonomy for Dansoman from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.

“Scholarships were given in addition to the Free SHS to our tertiary students and our primary school pupils. Health infrastructure and police stations are being constructed and a court house being built and even this assembly premises, was not here four years ago, it due to the hard work of the MP, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful. I lobbied and fought for us to have our own Municipal Assembly,” she counted.

Accompanied by party foot-soldiers, lovers and well-wishers to fill her nomination forms to run for the third time, Candidate Ursula confidentially said: “There is no way we will work this hard and leave it for someone else to come occupy it. Tofia kwa!”

She said part of ongoing projects in the constituency include the Western Link Road, which is still under construction and hoped to be completed by December, together with other inner roads that are still being worked on.

Mrs Owuse-Ekuful quantified the number of people give credit facilities to improve upon their businesses as over 5,000.

Similarly, some taxi drivers have been provided cars on credit while others have also been provided with jobs and skills training opportunities.

Since this year’s election is all about track record, she stressed: “We have shown a massive improvement and have demonstrated that the power that we were given in 2016 has used for the betterment of the people of Ablekuma West. They can only look forward to more of the same.”

The incumbent MP chanted the slogan “Four more to do more roads! Four more to give more scholarship! Four more for infrastructure! Four more for more jobs and skills training! Four more for everything that is in the heart of these people because they know me and trusted me, they have tried and I have proven myself over the years.”
