The Ejura disturbance was mainly carried out by the youth of the community who protested against the alleged murder of social media activist Kaaka.

In the spirit of the devil finds work for idle hands, the Committee that established facts of the incident, suggested to the government to establish sports and recreational facilities for the community.

It was the Committee chaired by Justice George Kingsley Koomson and other members, Dr Vladimir Antwi Danso and Juliet Adime Amoah firm believe that these facilities could help the youth to re-channel their energies into something meaningfully.

“We recommend the establishment of a Sports and other Recreational Facilities in Ejura under the Zongo Development Fund, so as to re-channel the energies of the youth,” they said.

The Committee recommendations were contained in a report submitted to the President on July 27, 2021.

Among the recommendations was the need for the government to find adequate compensation for the deceased persons’ -Abdul Nasir Yusif and Murtala Suraj Mohammed- families.

These persons were believed to had been shot and killed by the security deployed to the scene to calm the youth
