Our conduct on the numerous operations we undertake as part of our internal security responsibility in the maintenance of peace and stability in our dear country has been remarkable.

“I commend you all for safeguarding the integrity of our nation. In particular, I commend the effort of troops who are deployed along our frontiers in an effort to ensure that we maintain this amidst the present threat of violent extremism. We need to remain vigilant and poised to prevent any spillover of these into our country even as we celebrate the yuletide.”

Health walk

Before the award-winning ceremony, officers, personnel, and civilian employees embarked on a health walk and aerobics, which were organized by GAF to enable them to stretch up their muscles.

The CDS climaxed the event with the inauguration of an amusement park and exhibition center at Nicholson Park.

He explained that the purpose of the amusement park was to give employees of GAF a feel of the season and a rememberable way to celebrate the Christmas festivity.

On the exhibition, he said it was made possible courtesy of the Ghana Enterprise Agency, which provided funds for skills training of personnel’s spouses and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduates.

He explained that the training hope to equip the Junior High School leavers with some basic skills that would go a long way to shape their future.

Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, Chief Executive of the Ghana Enterprises Agency, expressed her appreciation for the partnership between GAF and the Agency.

She was hopeful that the partnership would open the floodgates for an influx of local businesses to boost economic development.

Madam Yankey-Ayeh expressed her unflinching support to GAF and assured it to knock on the Agency’s door whenever the need arises. Hopefully, she said they would be at GAF service if the needed resources were available.
