Daniel Tawiah alias Emmanuel Tawiah, a trader, has been summoned to the Circuit Court in Accra on multiple charges, including robbery, money laundering, and sex assault of young women he promised to offer them modeling opportunity.

Daniel and his accomplices—Ebenezer Adom Kwaku Amakye, Ebenezer Tawiah, Paul Nyamalor, Joel Alornyeku, and Martin, who are all currently at large—are accused of conspiring to commit crimes by falsely offering photo shoots and modeling opportunities to unsuspecting victims, who were then robbed and assaulted in early 2021.

He was arraigned in court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to all seventeen charges.

The accused has been remanded in police custody and is set to reappear on October 10, 2024.

During the proceedings, Senior State Attorney Nana Addoma Osei outlined the case, noting that all the complainants are female.

Between January 27 and February 14, 2021, they were contacted via Instagram about billboard advertisements for “Neo iPhone Shop and Real Estate.”

Believing these offers to be legitimate, the complainants and other victims were lured to various locations, including Regimanuel, Apolonia City, Dodowa, Oyibi, and Ashaiman, where they were subjected to torture, robbery, and abuse by Daniel and his accomplices.
