President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has shade critics, saying Godfred Yeboah Dame, Minister for Justice and Attorney-General (A-G) is a proud product of his lawyer firm, Akufo-Addo, Prempeh & Co.

This praise comes at a time the government’s legal advisor had come under heavy criticism, following his conversation with Richard Jakpa, an accused, outside court.

Many people are of the expectation that President Akufo-Addo will sack his legal advisor for engaging in alleged illegality.

However, since the incident of Mr. Jakpa dropping the bombshell in court that the A-G has been impressing upon him to help jail Cassiel Baah Ato Forson, the president had not made any public statement about the use, despite being fingered in the allegation.

Although his praise of Mr. Dame was in respect of the commissioning of The law house that would serve as the permanent office for the Attorney-General’s Department, it seems recent uproar on the leaked tape plus the Jakpa’s testimony in court has not affected President Akufo-Addo’s attachment to his legal advisor.
