Angel Smile Foundation Ghana celebrates Mothers @ Korle Bu

Angel Smile Foundation Ghana has donated clothes and headgears to women on admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) Cardiothoracic Centre and Maternity Wards to mark the Mother’s Day celebration.

The charitable organisation kind gesture was to commend and inspire mothers for their selfless, passionate, unconditional love, supportive and care they give to protect their children.

Secretary of the Foundation Iris Kwashie said mothers are special because they sacrifice so much to bring up their children and that effort must be acknowledged and rewarded.

“Today is Mother’s Day, so we, Angel Smile Foundation Ghana, want to wish mothers in a special way. Our founder, Prophetess Beatrice Ayorkor Adjetey, was a single mother so she knows the pain and challenges of motherhood. Therefore, today being a mother’s day means a lot to her.

As part of celebrating mothers, she decided to show love and kindness to mothers in a way of congratulating them as well as to encourage them to have hope, do more and never give up on their good work,” she said.

Madam Kwashie added that the Foundation gave out half piece cloth totalling 170 and headgears to the mothers.

She, therefore, urged mothers to be serious with how they raise their children “We celebrate mothers more because it is the mother who has close contact with child and as a result influence how children behave. Mother must take interest in everything their children do including the kind of friend to pick so that they will grow up to become responsible citizens.”

Dr Ofei Larbi received the items on behalf of the Cardio Centre and thanked the Foundation for the love that they have shared with the women admission.

He equally used the opportunity to appeal to the benevolent organisations and general public to come to the Centre aid, as there are children with hole in heart who are in dire need of help.

The Surgeon like Oliver Twist to be asking for more support because NGOs such as Angel Care and kindhearted individuals had supported the Centre with their widow might.
