Samuel Okudzato Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has issued a strong rebuttal against recent comments from Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited.

His response addresses several issues raised by the media company, asserting that their rebuttal was evasive and lacking in substance.

In a detailed statement, Ablakwa contends that Asaase Broadcasting has failed to identify any inaccuracies in his previous publication.

He argues that attempts to discredit his parliamentary oversight as undermining truth and integrity are unfounded.

Ablakwa emphasizes that it is the Judicial Service of Ghana that has initiated legal action concerning the property at Number 7, 5th Circular Road, Cantonments, asserting that it legally belongs to them.

The Judicial Service contends that the sale of this property was both unconstitutional and unlawful.

He challenges claims made by Lands Minister Samuel Abu Jinapor, who attributed the contested land sales to former President John Mahama.

Ablakwa’s research reveals that the land in question was sold in 2006 by then President John Kufuor to Mr. Fosuaba Banahene, former Chairman of the GETFund Board.

Ablakwa also accuses Asaase Broadcasting of ignoring pertinent details, including connections between the company and Lilly Homes.

Notably, Nana Adjoa Hackman, a director and sole shareholder of Lilly Homes, is linked to Asaase Broadcasting through her husband, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, who is a director at the media company.

He questions why Asaase Broadcasting has not addressed these connections or the broader context of the transactions involving politically exposed persons.

Ablakwa underscores that the current government has not disputed the claims made by the Judicial Service, and negotiations are ongoing to resolve the matter amicably.

The MP remains steadfast in his commitment to addressing issues of state capture and calls for transparency in the ongoing dispute.

For further details, Ablakwa has attached official incorporation documents for Lilly Homes Limited and Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited to his statement.
