The head of Nii Tackie Oblie Family of Abola Ppiam We, Mustapha Nii Ofoli Tackie-Oblie has announced the revocation of the Special Council of Abola Piam We.

He said the Abola Piam We, which is one of the ruling gates of Ga Paramountcy, had taken this step to reverse the powers of the council that was bequeathed to it to oversee the day-to-day running of the family affairs, in order to ensure sanity.

According to him, the Council was established in 2020 to protect the family interest, it has rather turned its guns against what the family stands for.

The head of family indicated that several unfortunate incidents have happened since the Council was constituted in 2020 that they are not pleased about.

Addressing a family gathering at Bukom in the Accra Metropolitan Assembly of the Greater Accra region, Tuesday, 22 February 2022, he accused the head of the council, one Nii Oyanka Anumgele, known Bezzleel Zola, does nothing best than selling the family lands.

Mr. Tackie-Oblie indicated that although has no blood relation with the family, he came close to them through his uncle, Addo Zola who was the family land caretaker at Opah near Sarpeirman.

The family head said even though Zola had told the public that the land in question is not family land but stool land, the court judgment of 2012 has proven otherwise.

He also said the Council didn’t consult the elders of the family before taking any decision, hence whatever actions that it has taken to that effect are considered null and void.

In the interim, he said five elders of the family in the person of Abdul Razak Kwei Tackie-Oblie, Abass Nii Okai Quaye, Thomas Nii Okai Tackie, Rev. Jordan Armah, and Rev. Isaac Mettle-Ofei to take over the roles of the Council.

Similarly, about 50 elders of the family who attended the meeting signed and thumbprint a document to support the decision of the family head.
