RCS Ghana offers 50% off your satellite TV station budget
RCS Ghana has signed a contract with Eutelsat Communications, one of the world’s leading satellite operators with a powerful fleet of satellites, to provide quality and affordable television bouquet for Ghanaians and others on the continent.
RCS is a Satellite Provision Company that provide platform and outsource contents to television stations with the use Ku-Band capacity on Eutelsat 7B to broadcast its fast growing free-to- air DTH bouquet to over 40 countries on the African continent and beyond.
As SD and the only HD provider currently on the market, RCS is offering prices lower than what other satellite companies are providing between $6,500 and $8,000 a month.
To offset the financial constraints on TV station owners, RCS will not charge the additional $5,000 installation fee like the others but provide the service for free.
The idea was to support TV stations to keep running, since these exorbitant charg had led some stations to collapse or at the verge of collapsing.
Meanwhile, all the TV stations except Super Sport English Premier League that is even produced from England, contents broadcast to Ghanaians are in SD.
To ice the cake, households would not need to buy or change their digital box or dish to access channels on RCS platform.
In order to cater for other unforeseen market, RCS has an in-house channel in Hausa channel – Gaskia TV and hope to add more channels with rich contents to entertain, inform and educate the Ghanaian.
Hanza Tanko, Chairman and CE of RCS Ghana told the press in Accra that there are over 500 TV channels been broadcast from 7° East, which that had become the newest DTH hotspot for Sub-Saharan region with some of the fastest growing rates.
The 7° East neighbourhood is a key orbital position for regional TV channels.

Its parent Company, Eutelsat in France, is the same company that hosts all DSTV bouquets.
