The Ghana Police Service has issued a statement regarding the upcoming demonstration organized by the Democracy Hub, scheduled for September 21-23, 2024.

Following an invitation from the Police for further discussions, the Democracy Hub has confirmed their willingness to engage in dialogue on September 20, 2024, to discuss the demonstration’s location.

The Police expressed optimism for a productive meeting and pledged to keep the public informed of any developments. An update on security arrangements for the demonstration will also be provided on September 20, along with relevant information gathered in connection to the event.

To ensure clarity, the Police will number their updates in chronological order.

They reiterated their commitment to maintaining security, law, and order throughout the demonstration period.
