Police Arrest 3, hunts for Others in Apam disturbance
The Ghana Police Service has arrested three individuals and is searching for additional suspects linked to violent disturbances that occurred on September 16, 2024, during a commissioning ceremony for the District Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP) in Apam.
The arrested suspects, identified as Alhaji Kassim Mohammed, Stephen Cobbinah (alias Bonjour), and Joseph Mensah (alias Kofi Kokor), allegedly disrupted the event while armed with offensive weapons, resulting in injuries to one attendee.
The arrested individuals are currently in custody and are expected to face charges in court shortly. Police officials have confirmed that efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend other suspects involved in the violence.
The police have urged anyone with information regarding the remaining suspects to come forward to aid in the investigation.
