Opuni to call 8 witnesses to defend him
The former Chief Executive of the Ghana Cocoa Board, Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni has informed the Criminal Division 2 of the Accra High Court that he will be using eight witnesses to defend his case.
He told the court that two of the Witnesses will be by a subpoena.
Dr Opuni represented by Lawyer Samuel Codjoe, informed court presided over by Justice Clemence Jackson Honyenuga today that one of the witnesses will give evidence via video.
So far, Dr Opuni has called his first witness after opening his case last week.
Dr Opuni is facing some 27 charges together with Businessman Seidu Agongo with his company, Agricult Ghana Limited, involving 217 million financial loss to the state.
The case has been adjourned to Monday.
