MTN Ghana Invests GH¢106.5 Million in Socioeconomic Projects
MTN Ghana Foundation has committed approximately GH¢106.5 million to various socioeconomic initiatives aimed at enhancing the growth and quality of life for citizens across the country.
The telecommunications giant has successfully completed around 166 social projects, benefiting an estimated 4.5 million individuals nationwide.
Mr. Nii Adotey Mingle, General Manager of MTN’s Northern Business Sector, revealed these details at an editor’s forum held at the Lancaster Hotel in Kumasi on Wednesday.
He outlined that the investments have been distributed across several sectors, 90 projects in education, 55 in healthcare, 15 in economic empowerment, and 6 in community support initiatives.Looking ahead to 2025, MTN Ghana plans to integrate digital capability and skills training into its programs to meet the Foundation’s 75% target.
Upcoming projects include the Mamfe Girls Robotics Lab, the Yilo Krobo 40-seater ICT project, and the Wiamoase ICT facility.
Mingle emphasized that the company is focusing on digital business solutions to support small and medium-sized enterprises and individuals.
This includes repackaging digital platforms for easier access to innovative products and services.
As part of its future strategy, MTN Ghana will continue to develop and implement programs designed to foster digital inclusivity and advance socioeconomic development.
