On August 23, 2024, the Ghana Police Service apprehended Yaw Korateng in Nsawam, Eastern Region, for possessing a device believed to belong to the Electoral Commission (EC).

The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting with the investigation.

The Police Service has notified the EC about the arrest and requested their assistance in verifying the device’s ownership.

As the investigation progresses, the police service extend their gratitude to all stakeholders for their support in maintaining security and order throughout the election period and beyond.
