During the National Delegates Conference of the ruling Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday, December 18, 2021, President Nana Akufo-Addo slain the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for not contributing any meaningful ideas over the past five years.

In fact, the president challenged the NDC and its flag bearer to produce one idea they have proffered since it went into opposition five years ago.

“I want to you to asked yourselves one question…what is the one policy that the National Democratic Congress and their leader John Dramani Mahama have thought about in these five year in opposition that they have brought to the people of Ghana.

“Someone should give me one idea that has emerged from the National Democratic Congress in these five years that will bring about progress for Ghana. The answer is zero. Not [a] single idea,” he jabs.

This comment has, however, been refuted heavily by the the NDC 2020 flagbearer, former President Mahama.

On his Facebook page, Mr Mahama commented that “I think the President must take his responsibilities seriously and focus on working to change the circumstances of our people, rather than the rabble-rousing skits he serves the nation.”

According to him, he has offered so many ideas in the “People Manifesto” but it is only left for Nana Akufo-Addo to make time in the comfort of his chartered jet, which contains the “Big Push”.

“I am willing to provide him with an autographed copy of the manifesto,” he teased.
