Lord Comey is arrogant & a braggart – Joseph Yamin
The former Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Joseph Yamin of the erstwhile Mahama administration has described the Director of Operation of Jubilee House, Lord Comey as arrogant and a braggart person.
According to the former deputy minister, Lord Comey could only be joking to claim that the NPP will retain power at cost.
Mr Yamin was responding to a video, in which Lord Comey made certain statements to the effect that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) was not ready to hand over to another political party and they will ensure that they retained power Akufo-Addo hands over power to another NPP government.
Speaking on Facebook live yesterday, he said “after watching the video, it only came to cement the position I have held all along that the NPP is a party full of self-centered people and do not care about the country.”
“I have said this before that Nana Addo only dream was to become a president in a certain country called Ghana whether it has people or not. Many people did not understand what I said but Lord Comey’s comment had come to confirm my suspicion,” he opined.
He said the video was in very bad taste and needed to be responded to because power is transient not a passion.
According to him, the most disturbing part of Lord Comey’s comment is that he is not only interested in breaking the eight but how NPP will maintain power, without recuse to who leads them, and “that is complete madness.”
He continued by saying that per Lord Comey’s logic any “dumb” in NPP could be elected to become the flagbearer and a president of Ghana.
While he expects that Lord Comey’s comment should be discouraged and given the necessary condemnation it deserves, the party hierarchy present at the said gathering rather clapped and hailed him.
Quoting Sun Tu, he said “who does Lord Comey thinks he is? Let me state it here and state it again, the size of your army does determine your success in a war. Your success in war depends on how strategic, sophisticated, resourceful and intelligent you are.”
At this point, he offers few words of advice to the man in question, “So tell Lord Comey that when Ghanaians give us the power when Ghanaians eventual give us the power and the votes get counted and the NDC made sure that the results are declared in its favour, tell Lord Comey, he will beg to give the power.
“Tell Lord Comey, he should not be deceived by the weapons that he owns today…”
He warned the incumbent, in which Lord Comey belongs, that if they think the NDC will go to court or act timidly like 2020, then they might be daydreaming instead they should pray that Ghanaians vote for them genuinely.
Mr Yamin was also surprised the moral community – Christian Council, Pentecostal Council, Charismatic Council, Peace Council, Islamic clerics among others- are quiet over the comment.
