K. T Hammond have no respect for Judicial process

Minister for Trade and Industry Kobina Tahreir Hammond has been accused of having no respect for Judicial processes in Ghana.

He was accused and cited for contempt by James Gyakye Quayson, a Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North.

The conteneur, also an MP for Adansi-Asokwa, allegedly made contemptuously during a radio interview July 4, 2023.

He was alleged to have made a preducial remarks about the criminal trial of Mr. Quayson during the radio interview.

The accused/applicant stated that the alleged prejudicial remarks has been nationally or internationally published and violates his right to be presumed innocent.

Mr. Quayson and his lawyers led by Justin Pwavra Tariwajah stated that the respondent (K.T. Hammond) brazenly usurping the judicial process and “the interview granted the respondent, in its totality, is egregious contempt of this honourable court.”
