Justice Honyenuga stopped from trying Opuni

The Supreme Court in a majority decision has prohibited the Justice Clemence Honyenuga from continuing with the trial of the former Chief Executive (CE) of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) and two others.

The five-member panel presided over by Justice Jones Victor Mawulorm Dotse prohibited the the trying judge who is also justice of the Supreme Court from further hearing the case involved Dr Stephen Kwabena Opuni, Siedu Agongo and Agricult Ghana Limited on cocoa matters.

The Court also granted Dr Opuni’s request for certain exhibits that were rejected by the trying judge to be included in evidence before the court.
