The Chairperson of Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC), Jean Mensa with her two deputies are asking Chief Justice Amin Yeboah not determine a petition that has been forwarded to him by President Akufo-Addo.

Mrs Mensa and her deputies are praying the Supreme Court not to also dive into the petition or have anything to do with the content of the petition that was seeking their removal.

As a result, the EC boss has sued the petitioner, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, convenor of #FixTheCountry pressure group, the Chief Justice and the Attorney General, as defendant in the case.

This legal action was caused by Mr Barker-Vormawor quest to President Akufo-Addo to remove the Electoral Commissioner and her deputies over their failure to allow the people of Santrofi, Akpafu, Likpe and Lolobi (SALL) to vote in the 2020 Parliamentary election.

President Akufo-Addo about a week ago acknowledged receipt of the letter by the #FixTheCountry leader and confirm forwarding same to Chief Justice Anin to determine whether prima facia case had been established against them.

By this, the Chief Justice by the merit of the petition would put into action the three impeachment process.
