JB’s murder: sexy Don-Don makes U-turn

Daniel Asiedu, going by the nickname Mohammed Ali and Sexy Don-Don, have made a serious claim whereas the late Abuakwa North Member of Parliament (MP), Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu was killed on February 9, 2016, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr George Akuffo Dampare informed him of the latter’s death seven days prior.


He said IGP Dr Dampare informed him of the MP’s untimely death in the presence of Commissioner of Police (COP) Rose Bio Atinga (rtd) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kofi Sarpong .

At the time, Dr Dampare was the Greater Accra Regional Commander of police and told him the death of the MP in a form a question, “who sent me to kill JB Danquah?”

Before being put to the question, ACP Kofi Sarpong has allegedly threatened him with a knife he took from a fridge in a small office they had a meeting, that when they go back to Dr Dampare’s office, he should accept whatever would said if he cherishes his life.

He told the court that while being cross-examined by a Principal State Attorney PSA Sefakor during during a mini-trial on Thursday at an Accra Criminal Court presided over by Lydia Osei Marfo.

According to him, due to fear for his life, he accepted whatever would be said in Dampare’s office.

It was Sexy Don-Don’s case that after they ( he and ACP Sarpong) returned to the former Accra Regional Commander officer was when the question was put to him amid video recording.

According to him, when he claimed he didn’t know the deceased but ACP Kofi Sarpong hit him with a cutlass, and as a result, could not utter a word but knod his head in agreement.

He allegedly that Dr Dampare asked whether it was the former MP Madina,  and another person with an Ewe name were the ones who sent him.

The first accused in the trial of the alleged murder of the and he is standing trial with Vincent Bossu, aka, Junior Agogo.

Asiedu, a trader and facing the charges of conspiracy, robbery and murder of the former legislator while Bossu is being held for conspiracy to commit a crime to wit robbery.

They have both denied the allegations.
