I’m not in witness’ coup plot videos – Female soldier cries
The only female in the ongoing treason trial, Warrant Officer Class II (WOII) Esther Saan says the prosecution star witness Staff Sergeant Awarf Kwadwo Sule was not truthful to the court in his claim that immediately after recording the purported coup plot meetings, the said recording devices are handled over to security authorities download for their perusal.
She said rather the witness after recording the supposed coup plot meetings uses his junior brother’s laptop to download the videos and select, which ones to be should presented to his superiors.
WOII Saan speaking through his defence counsel told the court on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 that because the witness tampered with the alleged recordings and presented the ones that suit his narrative, the content of the audio and the video of the same meeting are different.
A6 counsel while cross examining the Staff Sergeant Sule posed the question: “I’m putting it to you that since you put on both the audio and visual devices on, the recordings ought to be the same direction and the same time for a particular meeting?”
However, the witness denied, insisting that after every meeting the voice and visual recordings, the devices are handled over to his superiors.
The lawyer said it was not true the purported videos captured WOII Esther alone or with any of the other nine accused persons standing trial with her.
