I can sew, all I need is netting machine – PWD
A 42 year-old and a mother of three, Adelaide Agbosu, was born without a leg. Despite the difficulty in her pronounced limp, she has managed to acquire skill in sewing to support herself and the three children.
However, the challenge in her trade, has been lack of funds to purchase netting machine, which cost not less than GH₵1,500.00.
Her inability to raise money to procure the netting machine, is curtailing the expansion of the sewing job.
Adelaide said it is always an uphill task for her to struggle each time to move distance away to do netting, hence appealing to all kind hearted individuals to support her acquire the machine.
Madam Agbosu said all her life, she has endured low self-esteem because of her physical challenge.
But today, this reporter met her confidently moving together with other member of the Henry Djaba Memorial Foundation, mainly made up of Persons Living With Disability (PWDs) matching through some streets of Accra, to press home their demand for equal treatment.
Adelaide believes if the government, corporate institutions and individuals extend contracts to them, they might also be able to employ more people and by that they can also contribute their quota to national development.

The Foundation is currently campaigning for 16,000 wheelchairs to be distribute to all the regions of the country.
The Foundation Executive Director and former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Madam Otiko Djaba hope every PWD who is in need of wheelchair or walking aid gets one to mobility not a privilege but a right.
