The former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Sedina Christine Tamakloe Attionu has accused the government of selling 10 vehicles belonging to the microfinance company to Tema West New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Dennis Amfo-Sefah at a reduced price.

According to the embattled former ECO, the presidency reduced the original price of the vehicles to Dennis Amfo-Sefah, hence she cannot be faulted for causing financial loss to the state.

Madam Sedina told the Accra Financial Divisional High Court trying her on financial breaches last week that those vehicles were sold to Mr Amfo-Sefah through a company named Shield Environmental Services limited,  which she doubt its exit in the country.

The former MASLOC boss made this known through her defence counsel, Mr Agbesi Dzakpasu whicle cross examining the ttorney General ()A-G) prosecution witness, Francis Bando who is the Chief Accountant at MASLOC.

Mr Dzakpasu asked the witness that before MASLOC deales with companies that apply for facilities, does management require for their legal status but Mr Bando answered that he does not know because he is not part of the team that handles those documents.

Since Mr Bando testimony before the court was that before a facility is awarded to a beneficiary, it must have the document signed by a guarantor, he was questioned whether Shield Environmental Services Limited met that requirement. He response was no and that he cannot tell.

The witness told the court the name on the document is so fain that he could not read it out, therefore, lawyer Dzakpasu called it out as Dennis Amfo-Sefah who is the Tema West New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Bando also denied that the price of the vehicles were reduced and that they were revised by the presidency.

He told the court the vehicles in question, each was sold at GHC55, 871.00 and that the microfinance company had not made any loses as against what the lawyer was suggesting that the company has made a lost by reducing the original price of GHC114, 604.00.
