Godfred Dame’s bodyguard beats court warden

A heavily built bodyguard of Minister for Justice and Attorney-General (A-G) Godfred Yeboah Dame is said to have pounced on a private security guard at the Accra Complex yesterday.

Godfred Dame’s chaperone allegedly attacked the security guard while performing his official duty at the car park.

According to eyewitness, the bodyguard without any provocation head and slapped the warden, and even tried to strangle him for trying to enforce the rules.

Thus, Godfred who was attending the ruling on submission of no case to answer application filed by the accused persons in a coup plot trial, attempted to use the entrance for judges and lawyers but was stopped at the gate by the guard.

Just as the security guard was walking to the car to find out who was in the black V8, the chaperone opened the door, which nearly hits the guard.

The bodyguard jumped out of the car and threw away the barricade mounted in front of the gate to indicate that the car park was full.

So while the guard was going for the barricades, the chaperone pounced on him.

Eyewitnesses say the manner in which the chaperone was beating the guard, attracted the attention of a police officer also on duty to the scene to intervene but he was also not spared.

It was said that it took the intervention people nearby to rescue the security guard from the hands of the chaperone.
