Ghana to end Child labour by 2025 – Labour Ministry
The race is on for Ghana to end child labour by the year 2025, as part of efforts to meet the targets set out by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The supervisory authority, Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, says it is very critical that Ghana meets this goal.
Chief Director at the ministry Kizito Ballans believes this is necessary so because child labour rakes the country of the benefits of its human resources and economic opportunities.
Speaking at a-day’s training of members of social mobilization against Child Labour in Accra on Wednesday, he said issues of child labour must not be underplayed in public discourse.
