The President of the Ga Traditional Council, Boni King Tackie Adama Latse II has appealed to residents of Dome Faase and Akyem-Apedwa in the Ga South Municipal Assembly to exercise restraint while the issue is investigated by eminent chiefs.

According to the Ga Mantse, the incident is regrettable, as the clash between residents of Dome Faase and, the Chief and people of Akyem Apadwa in connection with farmlands had led to a number of residents sustaining injuries as well as two military personnel.

“This development is worrying and I wish to appeal to all to exercise restraint, while an amicable solution is found through a thorough investigation of historical facts and antecedents,” he urged.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Ga Traditional Council and signed by the Boni King Tackie Adama Latse II, calling on the Gbese Mantse Nii Aibonte II, the Asere Mantse, Nii Asere Boi and the Ga Akwashong, Nii Akwatei Kojo to intercede and assist with the situation.

The call by the Ga Mantse was necessitated by the fact that troops had besieged Dome-Faase and fear has also compelled residents to flee their homes.
