The Ga Paramount Stool Dzaasetse, Nii Yoatey Oto-Ga II has delivered short but an important message to the leader and founder of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Dr Lawrence Tetteh not to “stick his nose in” matters that do not fall within the remit of his pastoral duties.

In his simple and clear message, Dr Lawrence Tetteh must concentrate on his pastoral duties and restrain himself from involving in Ga Chieftaincy matters.

“The Ga Paramount Stool Daase wishes to appeal to Dr Lawrence Tetteh to concentrate on his pastoral duties and stay clear off the Ga Paramount Affairs,” he cautions.

Nii Yoatey Oto-Ga II caution was as a result of the Reverend Minister joining a team of State men and a number of diplomats, led by Her Excellency Mrs Claudia Torbay Quinturday, Ambassador of Columbia to pay homage to a supposed illegitimate “Ga Paramount Chief”.

According to him, this action does not only disrespect the authority of actual Ga Mantse but it is also a total disregard of the laws of Ghana and the traditions of the Ga State.

In a media release issued by the Office of the Ga Mantse on Wednesday, the Dzaasetse founds this action by the Reverend Minister and the others, as a grave disrespect to the Ga traditional institution, for an illegitimate person to be recognised in that capacity.

The two-page release reads: “The attention of the Ga Paramount stool Dzaase under the leadership the leadership of Nii Yoatey Oto-Ga II, Ga Dzaasetse has been drawn through the media of a visit by Diplomatic Community led Her Excellency Mrs Claudia Torbay Quinturday, Ambassador of Columbia and including Charles Owiredu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson, Member of the Council of State and Lawrence  Tetteh, leader of World Miracle Outreach to pay a courtesy call on self-styled King of Ga State, one Kelvin Tackie aka King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II on Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Ga Mantse Palace…”

He continued that “we wish to express our disapproval with that courtesy call. The legitimate gazetted king of the Ga state is Boni king Tackie Adama Latse II, enstooled on June 11, 2011 and whose name wasentered into the National Register of Chiefs in April, 24, 2015 and gazetted in the chieftaincy bullet Vol.2 No.1 November 2015. He is also a member of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs since 2017.”

The Dzaastse who could not fathom why the aforementioned persons bypassed tradition and law to endorse illegality.

His challenge was that King Tackie Adama Latse II existence as the Ga Mantse is in the known to the State Protocol Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

Nii Oto-Ga II added that because the State Protocol Department is privy to the legitimacy the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Adama Latse II, the First Gentleman of the land, President Akufo-Addo, the Speaker of Parliament, Mark Aaron Ocquaye among others officially invite him to state functions, as the traditional head of the Ga people.

As a result, the Dzaatse entreaties the diplomatic community and the general public to disregard the said self-imposed King.
