EOCO found nothing after searching Opuni’s residences -witness
The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) made no discovery of incriminating evidence against Dr Stephen Kwabena Opuni after series of thorough searches, including excavation at his former official residence.
The search for evidence was conducted at his personal residence in Accra and Kumasi as well as his external family house at Dorma Ahenkro in the Bono region.
At Dorma Ahenkro, the EOCO investigation team led by Paul Agyei Gyang forced open the door to Dr. Opuni’s late mother’s room at a time no customary rite had been performed to give anyone access to the room.
