The Registrar of the Land Division of the Accra High Court has narrowly escaped responding to why hearing notice to subpoena Standard Chartered Bank staff was sent to Ecobank for Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni’s trial.

Samuel Codjoe, counsel for Dr. Opuni, said the defence term are stunt because they provided every detail of witnesses to be subpoenaed to advance Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni’s defence.

Dr. Opuni’s legal team were in disbelief and couldn’t come to term why the Registrar of Ecobank in search of the subpoenaed witness, Reginald Aduakwah, instead of the Standard Chartered Bank.
