The founder of New Life Kingdom Chapel, Bishop Stephen Kwasi Appiah who is also known as Jesus Ahoufe, has been acquitted and discharged by an Accra Circuit Court on Monday.

The court presided over by Ellen Ofei Aye freed him after nearly a year trial over his alleged prophecy that dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., aka Shatta Wale would be shot and killed by October 18, 2021.

However, after the prosecution calling it’s witnesses, to establish Jesus Ahoufe’s offence of causing fear and panic, the court ruled that no prima facie case has been established.

Thus, Jesus Ahoufe has no case to answer and was set free like a bird.

The Bishop was arrested on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the premises of Accra FM, after his prophecy of death over Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale, who was arrested for faking a shooting incident, said in a Facebook post that his action was necessitated by the prophecy.

Shatter Wale was fined by a different circuit court ¢2,000 for his fake gun shot attack on June 29 this year.
