The Kaneshie District Court has discharged accused persons in connection with the murder of University of Ghana, Legon, law Professor, Emmanuel Yaw Benneh.

The three- Christain Pobee, aged 32, Isaac Botchway, 41, and Adams Mensah Mansur- were adischarged by the court presided over by Her Honour, Mrs Eleanor Kakra Barnes Botchway today.

Their discharge was due to the prosecutor, Inspector Ebenezer Teye Okuffo informing the court that the charge sheet will be substituted with a new one.

His reasons were that no criminal charges had been found against the three who served the deceased as cleaner, house boy, and gardener.

With the new charge sheet presented before the court, James Nana Womba and Opambour Agya Badu Nkansah as the first and the second accused persons.

According to the Prosecutor, James has admitted to the crime and mentioned Opambour and two others as his accomplices.

He, however, informed the court that the two accomplices are on the run and thereby requested three weeks to search for them.

The court ordered a bench warrant to be issued for the search and arrest of the other two on the run.

The court gave two weeks instead for the search to be conducted.
