Captain (retd) Nkrabea Effah-Dartey, for a second time in a row, has failed to secure bail for En Huang alias Ashia Huang, known in Ghana as the queen of illegal mining.

The legal counsel’s failure to secure bail for the ‘notorious Chinese illegal miner’ stemmed from a firm position of the court that the accused should remain in the custody of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).

Therefore, immediately after Mr. Effah-Dartey stood up to move the application, the court interjected and urged the legal counsel not to waste his time as the motion will not see the light of day.
