Cocoa trial: Judge eats humble pie after ‘harsh’ ruling
According to Justice Clemence Honyenuga, counsel for Dr Stephen Kwabena Opuni didn’t inform him that the latter has a medical report on his Covid-19 treatment.
This was after he has ruled that Dr Opuni claims has been affected by Covid-19 and in self-isolation but was able to sign application and it’s supporting affidavits.
Thus, the initial comment of His Lordship Clemence Honyenuga was that “it is interesting to note how the applicant who was alleged to have self isolated [because) Covid-19 signed affidavit in support of the applicant and never sent a medical excuse to this court.
“What he sent to this court dated 5th June, 2022, was a laboratory report that he tested positive of Covid-19,” he said.
