Catch the children young with the gospel -Journalist appeals
Anita Frimpong, a journalist, an evangelist, and Founder of Children’s Mission Foundation, has marked her birthday celebration with children in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
The children who had the opportunity to celebrate Ms. Frimpong’s special day with her last week were from the Victory Valley Assemblies of God Church (VVC).
Celebrating her birthday with the children was an opportunity to engage the children’s department of the church, which she was once a member, to share ideas on how to make grow the gospel as well as to ensure that Christians’ values are well inculcated in the young generation.
In her discussions with the church, she noted that the past decade has witnessed a dramatic change from agriculture to technology, adding that these changes had improved lives and worsen the same.
In all, the most vulnerable in all situations are children whose ignorance is exploited by wicked adults but if the gospel reaches these children earlier than that, these crimes may reduce, she added.
According to her, Christians must be at the forefront ensuring that children access equitable education, healthcare, social protection, and food for survival.
To her, without these responsibilities being fulfilled, the gospel would suffer scorn and sin would win against righteousness while darkness overtakes the light.
“Child Evangelism to me is a priority and I want to extend my ministry to that level because this sector of ministry is not common in our society, meanwhile catching these children young with the gospel would strengthen their Christian community and would also nurture good behaviours and attitudes,” She added.
Ms. Frimpong advised the children to obey their parents and teachers as instructed by the Holy Bible so that they will grow up to become responsible adults.
The Head of the Children’s Department of Victory Valley Assemblies of God, Mr. Kofi Adu Amoako on his part, expressed great appreciation for the gesture.
“I’m overwhelmed with the hard work my daughter is doing in the country on touching many lives over the past years. This means our work as teachers had not been in vain. I’m saying this because the world is growing faster, therefore, we need to rise up as Christians, especially the youth,” he stressed.
God bless you.Madam
