The former National Security Coordinator, Lieutenant Colonel Larry Gbevlo-Lartey (rtd) has posted a picture of a supposed bailiff on his Facebook, claiming he has been assaulted for performing his duty of serving a court process on the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The picture of the said bailiff, depicts somebody has either been hit on the mouth or have sustained injuries on the mouth.

However, a text accompanying to the photograph reads: “where is Ghana heading; the court bailiff comes on duty to serve with court documents meant for you. Your vigilantes in your presence drag the bailiff and beat him to pulp, destroying the court documents in the process.”

The post continued that the said bailiff have been hospitalised as a result of the severe beatings received.

It further added that those who perpetrated the crime are walking freely because they are member of the ruling government, therefore, they are untouchable.

It also advised the law enforcement agency, the Police Service to take precaution and be guided by the historically attested fact that impunity breeds national instability.

Apparently, the said court process was served on Minister of Energy, Peter Amewu, whom is alleged that his thugs pounded on the Hohoe court officers and beat them to pulp.

Thus, the bailiffs were after Mr Amewu to serve an injunction order given by a High Court, as a result of an application of injunction filed by the National Democratic Congress to challenge the Hohoe Consituency parliamentary election in the just ended general election.

The incident, which is purported to have happened 2020 boxing day night, had one of the bailiffs assualted.
