Awudome Senior High School hosts Samuel Kwame Boadu

Samuel Kwame Boadu has visited the Awudome Senior High School to have a conversation with over 2,000 students.

The visit was part of his vision to enlighten students on how they can choose career path in entrepreneurship as well as how to access scholarship to study abroad.

“When I was in high school, some people would want me to stick to my books only yet I had the interest to be an entrepreneur, so tried hard enough to read more about it ,” he said. “By the year 2014, I have become the the CEO of SamBoad Business Group Limited in Accra.”

During question-and-answer session, Mr Boadu told the students that entrepreneurship is a key in pulling people out of poverty and reducing conflicts in Africa and parts of the world.

“As it stands, about 70 to 90 percent job come from entrepreneurs, thus from small business or medium sized businesses,” he said. “In these conflict zones that we found ourselves, a lot more thoughts could be given to how we can create jobs. If there aren’t bright opportunities for young people, then the same problems are going to repeat themselves in different forms.”

He proudly said SamBoad Business Group Ltd is counted as one of the enterprises that has employed more than 250 people in and around Ghana.

Mr Boadu said he is happy to gratify himself as one of the youngest CEO in the country contributing his quota to development.

In response to question that how can young entrepreneur achieve the feat he has reached, Mr Boadu said “You need to be fearless,. You do not have to be afraid of fail. If you’re not afraid to fail then nothing can stop you. Another key attribution of success, is curiosity.”

He further advised that they should learn how to balance startups with schoolwork.
