Aisha Huang was expelled from Ghana about four years ago in connection with illegal mining. Regrettably, the Chinese ‘galamsey kingpin’ is allegedly back in the West African country to continue with plaguing more havoc on the environment.

Aisha Huang, known for her notoriety in illegal mining, sneaked into the country through Togo under a disguised identity. According to documents before an Accra Circuit Court, Aisha Huang used a changed date of birth, name, and other details of her bio-data to acquire a new Chinese passport.

With this newly acquired identity, Aisha, now Huang Rei Ruixia, applied for a Togo visa in order to enable her easy entry into Ghana, as the two countries share or are partitioned by imaginable and invisible borderlines.

The untouchable galamsey queen was re-arrested by the National security at a village in the Ashanti region, where she has resumed illegal mining operations.

Aisha aka Huang Rei Ruixia was been remanded last Friday by the Accra Circuit Court 9 presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah after she was charged with two criminal offenses- engaging in the sales and purchases of minerals without a license, and mining without a license.

The court is yet to take her plea, due to the nonavailability of a Mandarin language translator at the time the case was called.
