5 more join in Absa Bank case
Five people have surrendered to court following a media report about GH¢1.2 million alleged theft case at Absa Bank Ghana Limited.
They are Nicholas Nii Sai, ninth accused (A9), Nana Kwame Gyimah (A10), Benjamin Adoari (A12), Joseph D. Anim, and Othniel Amankwah Dankwah (A17).
This shoop up their number to 11, as six – Emmanuel Sakyi Afriyie Cecil Nyamesem Agyarkwa A2, Michael Tweneboah Oppong A3 Richard Akinis A4 Fouad Mohammed A5 Caleb Bondoh A6- were already before the court.
They surrendered to the court following media report on the matter, prosecuting officer Chief Inspector Isaac Anquandah said yesterday.
C/Insp Anquandah prayed an Accra court to adjourned the case to enable investigation caution statement to be taken from the accused persons herein.
The court, presided over by Ellen Ofei-Aye, granted the prayer and adjourned to Thursday, June 29, 2023.
